Girls on the Run© is a non-profit prevention program that encourages preteen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running. Our curricula address all aspects of girls' development - their physical, emotional, mental, social and spiritual well-being.

Girls on the Run International (GOTRI) is the parent organization of more than 120 Girls on the Run councils across the United States and Canada. GOTRI establishes, trains and supports a network of community-level councils with local volunteers. The volunteers serve as role models to the girls through coaching the 12-week, 24 lesson curricula. The curriculum is delivered in these areas through after-school programs, recreation centers and other non-profit settings. Click here to find a council near you.

Help make a difference in the lives of girls everywhere:

Team Tiara is the charity running leg of Girls on the Run. We are a team of athletes who pursue individual goals, such as running a marathon, to raise money for local GOTR chapters and our important after school running programs for young girls.

A New Book from Girls on the Run Founder, Molly Barker
Girls Lit from Within: A Guide to Life Outside of the Girl Box

It's downright tough, being a girl. Young girls are pressured more than ever to conform to expectations that are often not in their best interest.

Nothing new, right?

What is new is the creative approach to manage those challenges as provided in the book "Girls Lit From Within."

Molly Barker, Founder and Vision Keeper of Girls on the Run International, in her new book, Girls Lit From Within, provides 3rd to 8th grade girls (or any woman for that matter!) six easy to implement tasks, which instills in them the courage to stand up to the challenges of adolescence, stay committed to their own sense of self and help them stay "on track" through the teen years. Her style of writing is warm, funny and right-on with girls in this age group.  Girls Lit from Within joyously transforms the way girls perceive themselves and their peers and brings home the powerful message, in a language that is understandable to young girls, that our positive thoughts create lives rich with abundance, joy, gratitude and authentic relationships.
