ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS.

Team Tiara is the charity running leg of Girls on the Run© (GOTR). We are a team of athletes (male & female) who pursue individual goals, such as running a marathon, to raise money for local Girls on the Run (GOTR) councils and our important character development programs for young girls.

The sign-up fee for Team Tiara is $26 and the registration fee for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon is $110 for U.S. Residents and $130 for Non U.S./International Residents.  The completion of the registration forms below offers us permission to charge either a total of $136 (U.S. Resident) or $156 (Non U.S. Resident) to your credit card and offer you a slot in the closed Bank of America Chicago Marathon and registration for Team Tiara.

Your credit card statement will read, “Girls on the Run International” and the charge will not run through until May or June 2008.  If you are unable to accept this charge please DO NOT submit your application. These registration fees on non-refundable and non-transferable. 

Please make sure to complete the forms in their entirety and fax to (704)376-1039 or e-mail to teamtiara@girlsontherun.org.  You may also mail the form with money orders or checks but once again, entries are distributed on a first come first basis once all information requested on the form is complete.

You will receive a confirmation e-mail once you are registered. Even if you have communicated with us, you are NOT registered until you receive this confirmation e-mail from Team Tiara/Girls on the Run©.  We apologize but registrations cannot be accepted over the telephone.

Your commitment to Team Tiara is to raise $500 for Girls on the Run International or the local Girls on the Run© council of your choice by September 15, 2008.  This $500 minimum is in addition to the Team Tiara & B of A Chicago Marathon registration fees paid upfront.  If you do not meet your fundraising minimum by 9/15/08 your credit card will be charged the remaining balance the week of September 22, 2008

We offer easy online fundraising through active.com.  You will receive an e-mail from active.com with information on how to access and customize your fundraising page within a few weeks following your official registration.  We also accept offline donations.

Your welcome packet including your exclusive Team Tiara singlet will also be mailed within a few weeks of your registration.  It will offer you more details on fundraising options and ideas.

A few additional benefits of participating in Team Tiara at the 2008 Bank of America Chicago Marathon are:

ƒá New Balance Running Shoes to the first 100 that reach $500 in donations

If you withdraw from the race due to personal reasons or injury, you must notify Girls on the Run© at least sixty (60) days prior to the race date (10/12/08).  Unless you notify Girls on the Run of your withdrawal within this specified time frame, you will be responsible for the minimum pledge amount ($500), even if you withdraw from or do not participate in the marathon.  All registration fees (totaling $136 or $156 depending on U.S. Resident status) are not refundable at any time.
